I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
